So prepare for the coup of the century

Be prepared for the murkiest scam

Meticulous planning

Tenacity spanning

Decades of denial

Is simply why I'll

Be king undisputed

Respected, saluted

And seen for the wonder I am

Yes, my teeth and ambitions are bared

Be prepared!

BE PREPARED!

Fury doing what he does best. Part prep, part tech, part Honed Technique Dive Bomb. This deck is better built for solo than co-op as it does not have many means of seeking out minions. Deck space is tight and all that.

One of the coolest things Fury can do in my opinion is loop prep cards with Practiced Plan and repeatedly trigger Secret Agent. The problem is, if the deck speed is too slow, you will run out of Practiced Plan cards before you need to reshuffle. For this reason, "Bring It!" is nice even if it just thins the deck by 1.

Symbiote Suit provides extra card draw to help facilitate the above and his in kit prep cards help to mitigate the extra encounter card. If it happens to be a minion, you're quids in. The stat boosts are important to help reach key numbers when thwarting, but also can help save on spending threat when making basic attacks against a minion that needs to be cleared. The extra health is also spicy to line up a big Counterattack, my record so far is firing back for 11 damage, which feels amazingly good to do, at least in my opinion. Safe House #221 can help recover lost health, as well as Fury's above standard 4 (or boosted to 5 with Symbiote Suit) recovery.

EM Shield gets a special mention as it is so nice to have it and Counterattack in play, so that when the villain comes in for a swing, if it's too much to throw back, negate the damage, otherwise dish it back. Sometimes an unexpected boost card can ruin your day, but because EM Shield can be used after all boost cards have been revealed, it takes away that sometimes awkward decision space other characters can have when considering defending a villain attack, particularly against opponents like Klaw and Ronan the Accuser.

Leo Fitz and Jemma Simmons are also important cards in the deck, particularly to boost early game consistency. Same with Build Support and Superpower Training as these help get key cards into play early such as Fury's Flying Car, Secret Agent, and Fury's Watch. Ideally, you want to use Practiced Plan to loop back either EM Shield or Eyepatch Camera, as these are tech preps which can then be replayed at discount thanks to Jemma Simmons.

Angela is basically a free cost ally with no drawback as the minion that gets summoned is likely going to be caught in the crossfire of Spray Fire or the blast of Dive Bomb. Similar concept with Face the Past, though ideally you want to wait until the following round to use one of your AoE attacks to then hit the villain as well. Dive Bomb is particularly useful to clear toughs off minions, but also because the damage is split into 2 sentences (unlike Spray Fire where all the damage is dealt simultaneously), it can be used to wipe a guard minion off the map with the initial damage, and then hit everything else including the villain for the aftermath damage.

Man On The Wall. Being able to play a 0 cost Dive Bomb is completely insane, though note you will not get the Honed Technique bonus. It's nice if you can get a discount for 3 and then just spend 1 mental resource, from Fury's Watch or otherwise.

I sometimes find Fury's turns can be a little unpredictable. His turn structure can very much be led by the cards in hand, and while this is true for all heroes, I feel that Fury is more impacted. Sometimes you want to attack because you have built up so much threat on the suit, but lack the attack cards, or don't have Covert Surveillance / Concentrated Fire to flip back down to Stealth suit form. Other times you are stuck in Assault mode and may be forced to take a trip down to alter ego to prepare the next infiltration. Sometimes you would like to keep the minions in play for longer but you drew an AoE attack card and it would ultimately be better to attack with it, than make some other, suboptimal play. Managing threat on the suit and knowing when to use Stealth and Assault suit forms is the key to mastering Fury and it is a challenging yet exciting puzzle to figure out in each game.
