You will like this deck if:
1.) You like combo decks, but the combos don't necessarily beat the villain in one turn. Instead, the combos in this deck are very flexible and can often propel you into a winning position.
2.) You like complex turns that don't require too much setup. It's more about planning ahead.
3.) You want a deck that is built around Face the Past (but you can win without it)
The premise of this deck is to get out Honed Technique and beat the villain with overkill damage and Big Hands. Looking for Trouble, Angela and Face the Past get us minions, Marked and Relentless Assault give us Overkill and Honed Technique and Embiggen! give is the extra damage.
To get setup, we want to deploy Kamala's three Persona supports (Bruno Carrelli is critical, as he can store combo pieces), Honed Technique and Embiggen!
Nick Fury, Ironheart, Moon Girl and Champions Mobile Bunker help us cycle and add utility for pinging Tough statuses and scheming in Alter-Ego. The Locust and Aamir Khan can help us get the cards we need at the right time.
Psylocke and Go for Champions (as well as Wiggle Room and chumping with allies) allow us to either stay in Hero form, or safely flip to Alter Ego.
Face the Past, the namesake card in the deck, is great for this deck. Kamala's Nemesis Thomas Edison is very weak and the "you cannot attack the villain this phase" isn't so bad when we can damage them with overkill! Face the Past can be used at any phase of the game. Early to jump start your setup, when losing to make a comeback or for the final blow. Into the Fray with Embiggen! and Honed Technique is 11 Damage, into Thomas Edison with Marked that's 8 overkill damage to the Villain and 8 threat removed from the main scheme.
There are many smaller combos I will let you discover, and this deck can is very flexible and can win from many different positions. However, for Expert challenging Villains you will need to tweak the deck for sure.
I hope you like it! I am open to any feedback on how to make the deck better or more fun.
