Psi-Rogue Battle Angel

  • Psi- because she'll get Psionic by Touching any of the allies except for Gambit and she wields a Psimitar.
    • Psionic lets her play Psychic Kicker for some big ally swings
    • Psimitar blasts an enemy when playing that OR any of those Psionic allies.
  • Rogue because... she's Rogue LOL
  • Battle because I want to be attacking with her basic Attack (although Touched will be attached to a friendly most (but not ALL) of the time, so she's not getting +1 ATK from Rogue's Jacket). Also, see note about Psimitar above.
  • Angel because she flies! She's getting Aerial when Touching an ally, so she can get that +1 ATK from Soaring Acrobatics

Allies

  • Cable has a great ATK and his Response also comes in handy. He can deal 8 damage in a turn (Attack for 3, ready him with Psychic Kicker which gives him +2 ATK, and attack for 5 more). Unfortunately though, with 2 consequential damage per attack, he gets knocked out. That said, using the same method he can Thwart for a total of 6 and only 2 consequential with Psychic Kicker, which should clear almost every side scheme in the game!
  • Caliban isn't my favorite because of his Enters Play Response. I don't use it (it's not Forced) because I don't want to discard anything important, and because allies in this deck all cost 3+, meaning I won't be able to play them too.
  • Fantomex doesn't have great stats, but he can stay around forever if you use E.V.A. to heal him after using him. E.V.A. can also knock off Tough cards!
  • Gambit has a great Interrupt which can knock off a Tough card before dealing his ATK damage, but if there's no Tough he's effectively attacking for 3 like Cable, making him a better choice or Psychic Kicker since he only takes 1 consequential damage each attack.
  • Legion is mainly just another Psionic ally, but he does have a fun Response.
  • Mirage isn't here to Stun (but if she's does it's a bonus). She's Psionic and has 2 THW.
  • Professor X is Professor X! Like Cable dealing 8 damage, Professor X can thwart for 8 in a turn with Psychic Kicker.

Side Schemes

Healing

Healing allies could also be considered angelic LOL.

There's not a lot of haling here, but...

  • X-Mansion gives you 2 points of healing for you or an X-Men ally when you flip down to alter-ego (1 when you go down and 1 before you flip back up). It also obviously has synergy with Mutant Education.
  • Innovation is my favorite aspect resource card because it helps keep your allies alive.

Thanks for sharing! I played this deck yesterday and I really like the idea behind it but definitely struggled a little bit. I think the main reason was from lack of resources. Curious how you paid for everything each hand? Rogues kit alone is pretty expensive with no resource builder and all the psionic hero's are 3 or so. Have you considered adding power of the mind to help pay for all these psionic cards? Or maybe a deft focus, x-gene, x-jet, helicarrier?

@roselawn I apologize for not responding sooner! I didn't get a notification about your comment and only saw it this morning!

This version of the deck wasn't working very well (partly because of - as you said - the lack of resources), so I made a version 2.0 after Magneto came out. Among the changes were all of the Leadership allies from Magneto's pack, 3 The Power of the Mind and The X-Jet.

Even with the changes it still feels awkward and clunky though LOL.
