This really gets the gears turning as an upgrade to Thor. Four power attacks every turn or a three defense, if the mood strikes, could change the math is very positive way. And if push really comes to shove, doubling Thor's thwarting also makes up for lost time. I only wish the bonus lasted all phase, to take advantage of readying effects.

Decent if you're aerial and running a lot of aerial characters (Snowguard, Captain Britain, Banshee, Adam Warlock, Wasp, etc.) as you can use it on your aerial allies. Used this way, it will still have use if you're stunned, confused, or got exhausted during the villain phase. — Eeeville · 1

High Thwart stat flyers should really consider this card with Brains over Brawn. Spectrum can easily get to 5, and beyond if using a deep kit of tricks, and being able to thwart for 5 and pop a two cost attack in JUSTICE for five damage is nothing to scoff at.

The big thing for this card in general is to combo benefits to that single basic power activation, as having "ready" spam doesn't help this card. You want to load up as many secondary effects on that single use that you can. So this is another strong tool for Aerial capable heroes that already were looking to take advantage of high number single activations.

As a secondary, it can also work on allies, and don't forget that card "Sky Cycle" that can give lots of different Avenger allies aerial. This could find it's way into some interesting combos as we know we'll be getting some more Avenger allies shortly.

Powers that last "for this use" expire before Brains Over Brawn can be used. Soaring Acrobatics will not increase the damage dealt by Brains Over Brawn. — Leethus · 500

This is such an interesting card to compare to Heroic Intuition and Combat Training.

All are 3-ER. All provide a +1 buff for a power.

So the difference is a matter of reusability versus versatility.

Heroic Intuition and Combat Training both increase one stat and can increase that stat as many times as you can ready in the turn. Soaring Acrobatics can increase any stat, but only once per round. In decks with a bunch of readies where you're mainly using the one stat, Heroic Intuition and Combat Training are better.

But otherwise, you might get more use out of this. You can use it to increase your ATK one turn, your THW another, or your DEF in a turn where you have to block. If you have aerial allies, you can buff their ATK or THW in a turn where you're stunned, confused or exhausted.

You can't use it multiple times in a turn, but you can use it practically every turn for whatever it is you're doing.

I wouldn't say it's better than Heroic Intuition or Combat Training. But I also wouldn't say it's worse. It just has a different sort of utility.
