First Daredevil is here and I couldn't be happier with him! Love how the character is designed and really enjoy how he plays.
Second, this particular deck features a card that I was fortunate enough to be able to discuss on the Winning Hand podcast with boomguy, andyr and lazytitan in Chance Encounter. With the new Contingency Planning we now have a card that allows you to store Chance Encounter for when there is actually a side scheme in play! And who better to take advantage of it than the new hero with his own personal side scheme?
No threat to Me:
This deck is centered on handling the thwarting for both solo or MP. Daredevil has a respectable 2 thwart but also an in kit ready with The Man Without Fear.
Heroic Conditioning jumps him to 3 and Stick can elevate that to 4. Clearing Specialized Training and grabbing Surveillance Specialist jumps him to base 4 plus a card draw.
Move in Shadow is absolutely busted with Daredevil and his cheap kit. Adding in our 0 cost upgrades that attach to side schemes elevates this card even more!
Making an Entrance can get us up to a maximum of 7 thwart plus heal if we clear the remaining threat.
Know Your Enemy is a 0 cost 2 threat removal.
Use Deft Focus to put your sense upgrades into play without sacrificing your hand.
Justice Served provides another rwady and Skilled Investigator draws us another card for clearing a side scheme.
The Loop:
Put Focus the Senses into play and play Chance Encounter on it. Clear it to put all of your sense upgrades into play and grab Manifold allowing you to grab Focus the Senses yet again. This provides a really nice way to ready multiple times, mitigate damage and remove extra threat each turn.
Use Contingency Planning to hold onto our Side Scheme upgrades for when they are needed. Since I like options we have 3 different to choose from.
Chance Encounter grabs Manifold or Elektra
Followed to help clear minions or deal some damage to the villain
Overwatch to let us focus on clearing side schemes but still keep the main in check.
Karen Page also let's us continually shuffle focus the senses back into the deck so we see it even more.
Other Considerations:
When Innate Perception comes out it will be a great addition.
Lay the Trap would be great if you want to put out some more damage.
One Way or Another is nice to help with setup but I opted against due to the reliability of grabbing our own PSS.
Overall this deck has been an absolute blast and really handles threat even in high scheme scenarios.
I'd love to hear any feedback or experiences with it!
Sweet deck! I haven't tried Justice with him yet, but I think it might be my favorite. The loops you describe are just awesome. I'm enjoying DD much more than Echo, which is not what I expected based only off of their previews.
