This deck was created after a randomizer assignment: M.O.D.O.K. (Standard) with Personal Nightmare and Sci-Fi, pairing Spider-Woman with Black Panther (Leadership).

When I first read the assignment, I wasn’t too excited. Black Panther isn’t my favorite hero to play because he leans heavily on his upgrades… and that’s pretty much his whole thing. As for Spider-Woman—I hadn’t played her much, and I couldn’t really remember ever truly enjoying her.

But pairing them together completely changed my perspective.

Getting Started

The first priority is Team-Building Exercise, Dora Milaje and The Golden City. While these are coming into play, focus on deploying your upgrades and one or two allies if possible.

If you can get a Quinjet in play early, even better. It doesn’t directly affect Wakanda allies, but once there are a few counters on it, you can play an Avenger ally for free — great for maintaining tempo.

Once Team-Building Exercise is active, prioritize getting your Dora Milaje allies on the board. Okoye is key here — she provides early control and keeps your momentum high. You can draw these allies naturally or fetch them with #Suit-Up.

Supporting Your Co-op Hero

This deck shines because it’s built to support a co-op hero — in this case, Spider-Woman with Avenger allies: (Spider-Woman: "Hit Me Baby One More Time"

Mighty Avengers – Boosts stats of co-op allies. The +1 attack often lets Captain Marvel defeat a minion with a single activation. (It's not just the +1 from this card, she gets to a basic attack 4, extra attack from Side-by-Side).

Team Training – Adds +1 HP to allies; useful for both heroes, but especially effective on the co-op side.

Power Gloves – Deals 1 damage every time the sidekick Captain Marvel activates, adding consistent value on frequent activations.

Other cards, like Honorary Avenger, can be applied to your own allies or to your co-op’s depending on the board state. Flexibility is key.

Mid-Game Strategy

As your Wakanda Empire grows — The Golden City active, upgrades on the table, Dora Milaje allies deployed — you’ll often need space for additional allies. The Triskelion provides that extra slot when necessary.

Maria Hill is a cheap early-game ally that generates extra cards for both heroes. Timing is important.

Kaluu helps dig for Wakanda Forever!, maintaining your tempo.

Beast costs a lot but returns a resource card to your hand when played.

Other allies are situational: Ant-Man can be useful, but putting cards in your discard pile sets up targets for Spider-Woman’s Make the Call.

Why This Deck Works

The deck isn’t just about Black Panther upgrades. It’s about building an engine that supports your co-op hero while keeping Wakanda allies active and threatening. You balance tempo, resource management, and strategic placements — which makes every game dynamic and engaging.

The combination of Wakanda synergy and co-op support creates a rewarding, interactive play experience.

Thanks for checking out the deck! Feel free to share your experiences or suggestions — I’d love to continue refining it with the community.
