The Summers family is the definition of Mutant Mayhem, but to crank up the mayhem this time Phoenix will lead...
The dream of this deck is to get down Children of the Atom and Uncanny X-Force to turn your team into a thwarting engine. Thankfully, Phoenix is good at thwarting in the early game while you get your key cards. Once you do get set up, Phoenix can become Unleashed while your allies handle the threat
This deck has a few strategies while you get there.
1) Sneak allies in with "To Me, My X-Men!" and get more value out of them with Psychic Kicker.
2) Get out Cyclops (or any other good X-Men ally) and Cable and then bounce them with Mutant Mayhem for heals, 2 Phoenix counters, and additional activations.
It is a bit of a big deck, but with flipping and extra card draw from Cerebro and Mission Leader, I found that I've been able to set up pretty quickly. Hopefully, you're playing with a teammate with X-Mansion in play so you can also get card draw from X-Men Instruction, which is here to keep Cerebro pulling you allies (or resources) all game. If you do want to cut some cards, I'd probably chuck "To Me, My X-Men!" and a few allies, but more cards is more fun (sometimes).

Very cool! I'm in the process of making a similar deck! I like the idea of using Phoenix for Mutant Mayhem. Before she unleashes, she's pretty weak, so using her extra economy to setup with allies makes a lot of sense. (Long time lurker, first time posting!)
