This deck is part of a 3-deck multiplayer combo that results in an infinite combo win on turn one. Some specific villains could counter it (I haven't checked them all) but in general it should win on turn one.

The three decks are:
Nova: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/48642
Cable: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/48643
Domino: https://marvelcdb.com/decklist/view/48644
I think the greatest chance of success is to play in this order:
Nova > Cable > Domino

The infinite combo isn't guaranteed on turn one but I've played through it 10 times and was able to do it all 10 times.
In order for the combo to trigger on turn one the following things need to happen:
1) Nova needs to draw Mutant Mayhem. This will be the primary focus and is the biggest point of failure. There is a ton of extra card draw to cycle through the deck and get one if it isn't in the initial draw or the mulligan draw. Also, it's fine if he draws it during Cable or Domino's turns.
2) Generate 9 thwart to finish Call for Backup. There is a ton of thwart in all three decks to do this. Nova will pull Ms. Marvel. Cable will pull Phoenix. And Domino will pull Beast (and Jackpot!).
3) Play Children of the Atom on Cable. We need this to make Phoenix an X-Force. Also, we can't play Honorary X-Men until Children of the Atom is in play.
4) Play Honorary X-Men on Ms. Marvel. This can't be played until both Children of the Atom is in play and Call for Backup is complete. Cable will already have CotA so he will ideally play it. If you need Domino to play it then she will need a CotA as well.

The infinite cycle begins on Domino's turn.
Once the above 4 steps are in place:
1) Exhaust Beast for 2 Attack or 2 Thwart.
2) Nova plays Mutant Mayhem out of turn and Domino pays for it with Jackpot.
3) Phoenix (X-Force) and Beast (X-Men) cycle to hand and then back into play.
4) Resolve Ms. Marvel's response to put Mutant Mayhem back into hand.
5) Resolve Phoenix's response to ready and heal Ms. Marvel.
6) Resolve Beast's response to put Jackpot back into Domino's hand
Then just repeat steps 1-6 until you win.

Most of the game will actually be decided during the mulligans. You really need to focus on making sure you can fulfill those 4 requirements.
Anyway, it's a silly broken setup that's really just for the puzzle of it.

Apr 09, 2025Are you coming to the Con of heroes. I'd like to play these decks, but way to lazy to build them for a one turn game :) |
Apr 09, 2025I like this deck, but am I missing something? How do you get Honorary X-Men back on Phoenix after playing Mutant Mayhem? The upgrades come off after Mutant Mayhem pulled her back to your hand. |

Apr 09, 2025Fun concept and well done! I like the idea of spreading this out over three players. It's actually possible with 2 as well, if you start with Nova and have any X-men/X-Force drop an honorary on Ms. Marvel., just not possible on the first turn though due to having to get all 3 of the allies out. The 2p version uses Band Together instead of needing Domino's Jackpot. |

I see now that you did the Nova-Domino cycle a couple months ago. Nicely done! |
Apr 09, 2025Thanks! This turn one deck series is no slouch too though! I love how the game encouraged higher player counts with awesome interactions. |
Apr 10, 2025Wow, great idea. I really like how the game sometimes breaks itself. Thanks for sharing it. |
