I had this idea the other day for a control deck based around silence. Not other forms of control like stun and confuse, or encounter deck manipulation, but silence. Being able to look at the text on a villain card and being like "yeah, we're not doing that."

Peace on Earth

We have two forms of true silence. First, there is the classic: Vivian. She's great, and the original inspiration for this deck. She can target either a side scheme or a non-elite minion. Next, we have Storm's Blizzard. This one only targets non-elite minions, but its more reliable. You can, and should use this one often. Yes, it's harder to actually defeat that minion while Blizzard is out, but there's ways around that. You can weaken the minion first before swapping the weather, you can defeat them with events, or you can swap off of Blizzard with Weather Goddess and still maintain the silence until the end of the round.

We have other pseudo-silence effects:

• Magik: Since she doesn't 'defeat' the minion, you get to ignore the 'when defeated' effects
• Shadowcat: Silence for icons on side schemes
• Sunfire: Get rid of whatever nonsense gadgets or weapons the villian's got
• White Queen: Encounter card gives the villain tough, or gives you a negative status? Nah, fam
• Stepford Cuckoos: I didn't want to lean too much into full encounter card cancels, but this one fits nicely. We don't have other responses to treacheries, and this lets us skip them in favor of getting another card that we know how to deal with.
• Target Acquired: Silence for boost effects!

Silence is Violence

You need some targets to silence. So the deck will be pulling out extra minions with Looking for Trouble and Angela, and some of them will have some nasty 'when defeated' effects. Since it's apparently a minion party over here, you might as well "Bring It!". Between silence and the -1 attack from Blizzard, we aren't too worried about a few minions. If they ever get too loud, just silence the worst ones and send them packing with Blast of Wind

Once you have the board locked down, just attack with a full board and thats a wrap. With both Thunderstorm and Boot Camp out, even Vivian hits like a truck.

Merry Champmas

I put this one together pretty quick, and didn't test it much yet. I wanted to get this out now while you probably still have decorations up :) I played it against Mutigen Formula, and it went very well. So good enough for me!

This one didn't get much testing, so feel free to make changes and let me know if something I missed works better. I'm gonna be playing around with it more myself and will update if anything else comes to mind
