The goal of this deck is to be able to flip back and forth between alter ego and hero form every turn benefitting from the extra card every turn.

The secondary goal of this deck is to be able to take Captain Marvel’s incredible economy and share the love with your friends. But even if you’re playing solo, who doesn’t appreciate marvelous economy.

So how do we accomplish these goals? With the power of S.H.I.E.L.D. When everything is setup it’s not unusual to just be able to sit in alter ego, playing S.H.I.E.L.D. director.

The set piece cards: Agent 13, Helicarrier, Field Agent, Avengers Mansion,

Strategy: Between Carol Danvers commander ability and Avengers Mansion you can deal out 2 extra cards, and Agent 13 can give you 2 uses of Helicarrier per turn. That can either be stacked into a -2 on one card, or split to 2 -1’s. Field Agent prolongs Agent 13’s life.

Mockingbird and Spider-Woman control the villain, Chance Encounter lets you fish out whatever ally you need. Monica Chang let’s you control threat even if you aren’t in hero mode that turn. Homeland Intervention is also useable when when in alter ego. Essentially giving you a thwart basic action, and gets more value out of your other S.H.I.E.L.D. thwart machines. Quake deals with minions while you are busy commanding your forces. Counterintelligence also triggers when you are in alter ego.

In the meantime you have a multitude of energy resources to charge up your Energy Channel so when your spirit bomb is ready, flip up and explode.

When your friends need to flip down, you can flip up and take a hit, maybe let off a Photonic Blast, just so the threat doesn’t get too crazy.

This is a very versatile build that lets you deal with all the problems while supporting your friends.
