The primary focus of this deck is to build Hawkeye's hero kit while allowing him to play 2, sometimes 3 arrow events per turn due to ally synergies. Thus, the name "Hold My Arrows", as your allies eventually end up being a way for you to play more arrows.
Allies
Mockingbird just might be one of the best signature allies in the entire game. Being able to Thwart for 2 and then negate any damage on the villain's turn for 1 resource, AND getting her back in your hand is so powerful. It is extremely useful for the turns when you aren't able to use an Electric Arrow on the villain, or don't have a tough card on any of your allies. Nick Fury explains himself. War Machine provides a free turn and then is useful for Thwart or Attack, whichever you need more help with. Black Knight is great for dealing with those pesky tough cards, especially if there are no Vibranium arrows in sight. Goliath is a great source for Thwarting and then can provide a huge 5 damage turn after being able to Thwart for 6. And U.S. Agent is good just for his longevity and retaliate 1, meaning he can block a minion and survive while also having the potential to kill it. Last, Hawkeye is a good, cheap ally to have in any situation, and her ability actually isn't entirely useless: now, instead of doing a mulligan at the end of your turn with unwanted cards, those cards can be used to deal damage. All of these allies, except Nick, are Avengers, which is important to synergize with other cards in the deck. I understand there might be questions as to why there are so many expensive allies in a deck meant for arrows. But when both Expert Marksman cards are out as well as Hawkeye's Quiver, being able to play at least 1 arrow event per turn is almost a guarantee. The idea here, then, is to get out several Avenger allies that have a good amount of hit points who can survive for several turns, until you have the ability to draw a Earth's Mightiest Heroes or Strength In Numbers.
Events
Ready for Action is good especially for this deck because you want to keep allies in as long as possible. Allies usually end up being a blocker for you after a turn or two, so with this card you can extend their life and absorb any damage the villain throws at you. Strength In Numbers is great card draw, especially once you have more than 1 ally in play. The whole point of the deck is to cycle through arrow events as quickly as possible, and this card helps you do that. Earth's Mightiest Heroes is the real bread and butter of this deck once you are able to get out your support cards. This, combined with Get Ready, can let you ready Hawkeye back up even after using an ally's basic Thwart or Attack ability. Readying Hawkeye means you can ready his bow again, allowing you to potentially play 3 arrow events in 1 turn, provided you have some in your quiver.
Support
Avengers Mansion helps us get draw more cards, which we want to do to draw more arrow cards or resources for arrow cards/allies. Quincarrier is a crucial card; this card combined with the two Expert Marksman cards means that you can do 1 1 cost arrow event and 1 2 cost arrow event for free every turn without having to pay any cards from you hand as resources. Quincarrier also allows you to use your Mockingbird ally's ability for free whenever you need to use it. Avengers Tower helps get allies out easier and increases your ally limit, meaning that you can have some potential crazy 4 draw turns playing Strength In Numbers. Quinjet is super helpful especially since some of these allies can be pretty expensive. Being able to get U.S. Agent, Mockingbird or Black Knight for free after 3 turns, or War Machine and Goliath after 4, is huge, as it allows you to save resources for arrow events and other allies.
