Hotline Bling - Wolverine X-Men Ally Swarm

You used to call me on your Cell Phone

Wolverine, Canada's own living legend, isn't known for being a team player. But with friends like these, who wouldn't make some calls!

How to Play

The strategy is pretty simple. Get Uncanny X-Men and Utopia out as quickly as possible. Mulligan for one of those two cards, or a card that can help get them (e.g. Build Support, Forge). Cycle through low cost allies all game long.

Highlights

Uncanny X-Men

The key to this deck. Allows you to play each of the allies at a discount and keep them around longer with +1 HP. Note that the discount only works if each character has the X-Men trait, so it won't work by default in Alter-Ego. Play Honorary X-Men on yourself to keep the trait when you flip down.

Cerebro and X-Mansion

Flip down often, using Professor X and Unlikely Duo to confuse the villain if needed. Cerebro allows you to keep the ally engine flowing (and several Psionic allies are included so you can search the whole deck). X-Mansion can provide a bit of healing to keep important allies around, gives you a card draw with X-Men Instruction, and also provides fodder for Organizational Support.

New Recruits

Very good in this deck, lets you call up even more allies. In solo, you can play it, defeat it immediately with a basic thwart, and get a great 1-cost ally like Bling! (see what I did there) that doesn't count toward your limit.

Uh oh

Watch out for Omega Red, as his attacks can wipe out your allies. I thought about including Stepford Cuckoos to avoid Shadow of the Past, but I've played the deck quite a few times and have never had an issue with taking care of Omega quickly, or flipping down and dealing with him the next turn.
