CRASH BANDICOOT X - BISHOP STRIKES BACK

We are running the full suite of Aggression payback style cards (Counterattack, "You'll Pay for That!", Toe to Toe), which all synergise incredibly with Energy Absorption. With all the punishment we are taking, I have opted for the Symbiote Suit for the health gain and have included Stepford Cuckoos as a means of mitigating the drawback by providing some control over the Encounter Deck. If you want to play it safe, feel free to replace those two cards with Endurance and Helicarrier instead (or just replace Symbiote Suit with Endurance and keep Stepford Cuckoos).

A lot of the time, you will want to use Toe to Toe as a minion slaying tool that can help find some additional resources to boot. Bishop does not have any widespread damage, so Toe to Toe serves as a cheap way of thinning the herd down. That being said, the classic Toe to Toe and Counterattack combo is high damage that can be used to burst the villain down.

Another great combo in this deck is Face the Past into Toe to Toe as this allows you to see a whopping 9 cards - a minimum of 3 into your hand and a maximum of 6 into the discard. True, you will lose half of your health in exchange, but this is still a powerful turn 1 play as it will drastically help Bishop find Bishop's Rifle and Bishop's Uniform, recurring them from the discard with Temporally Displaced as needed. It can be even better performed once you have Bishop's Uniform down, as there is a chance you can heal back all the damage taken.

The 5 damage from Toe to Toe is the exact amount required to take down Trevor Fitzroy, so even if a player is unfortunate to see him again on an Encounter Deck reshuffle, you have the means to dispatch him cheaply and potentially snag a couple of resources in the process.
