My last 4 decks have all been testing the waters of the new Current Environment rules. Thanks to the Winning Hand podcast issuing a challenge to build a deck using Plot Convenience I'm diving back into the deep end of Legacy, and the water is very refreshing. Options, a hero who can mix aspects, Pool cards, access to some of the old standards...ahhh, that's what I've been missing.

But what does this deck actually do? Well, I started off wanting to combine the benefits of both Plot Convenience and Resource Reserve to file away cards that you, or your teammate, will want later. (Avengers Compound should get added to this deck as soon as Hercules drops). Since we can file away cards, including the Pool resource cards is a natural fit, Spectrum is a perfect choice for saving for when you have the right card to pay for her (may I recommend Innovation or Rock, Paper, Scissors? Captain Marvel or Sidekick are less optimal choices) or you can stash Break Time, Cutupper or one of Spider-Woman's events for when they will have the best effect. Your more expensive cards and Organizational Support cards can be saved for when you have the cards to make them work. Healing Factor keeps your HP up to let those Pool resource cards work.

Alongside all this, you have an Avenger ally playstyle going. Iron Lad has a steady supply of good stats to borrow, and Mighty Avengers stacks the team, and Iron Lad's bonus, even higher. Exhausing a fully-powered Spectrum to power Iron Lad's ability, along with Mighty Avengers, gives him a 6 THW and ATK! Blade is another great target for his ability. The rest of the Avengers are no slouches either, and Captain Marvel paired with Sidekick and Mighty Avengers is outstanding.

Using her special ability in alter-ego, then flipping and using Rock, Paper, Scissors guarantees you a successful card draw as long as you have the needed resource in hand. In hero form you don't have access to the card peek, but I found myself with cards that needed a particular resource (#blade, Cutupper, Stick-To-Itiveness, Blackout, Vision. Using Rock, Paper, Scissors, I would guess the symbol I would need to get the necessary resource and managed lucky fairly often; automatically if I had a wild resource in hand.

It's a bit janky, but I had a good time playing it. Enjoy.
