Deck Description

This is a seemingly simple, but very effective, turbo-draw deck with Shuri. It was initially designed to be played at lower player counts, but having tested it a bunch at 3-4p now, I'm confident this deck can handle a variety of roles in a larger group game.

So get ready, get set, and draw!

Get Ready

Ready to Rumble means we can use her AE ability and still be ready when we flip. Her AE ability can be used for all of there Black Panther upgrades, as well as Sonic Rifle. Unlike her brother Black Panther, she will most likely need to recur her signature upgrades multiple times per game.

Justice Served helps us to ready after defeating a side scheme in order to trigger our hero ability more often; Chance Encounter grabs an ally when we defeat a side scheme.

Get Set

Prioritize getting your upgrades into play, but also use your AE ability to get Sonic Rifle into play to confuse the villain as needed for frequent flips to AE.

Aja-Adanna is likely her best card.

  • I most often use it on Wakanda Forever!
  • You might choose to shuffle a Black Panther upgrade into your deck if you discarded it for a bonus.
  • If you ever discard a signature upgrade for an effect, you can shuffle it back in and guarantee that you will can find it when you flip down.
  • I often find myself shuffling T'Challa in mid-to late game, don't sleep on how good he is.
  • Shuffling Vibranium back in can help provide more resources if you need help paying for all the cards you draw. This is especially helpful if your deck is thin and you know T'Challa is in the deck and you may draw into him soon.

Draw!

Dora Milaje is only here to our get card draw engine going with The Elephant's Trunk. It's free to play and dials her AE card-draw engine up to 11. Queen Ramonda can heal if you take damage, or draw more cards.

Nick Fury and Moon Girl are only here to draw cards.

One Way or Another draws to get side schemes, and Skilled Investigator and Clear the Area draw cards when we defeat side schemes.

Finally, Speed can get some burst thwarting to get you closer to defeating a side scheme, and Quasar can spread some threat removal around the board.

Big fan of Shuri, looks great!

@Castlefrank47 Shuri has really grown on me, and forced me to go back and reevaluate T'Challa as well. I didn't use to really enjoy him much, but I have grown to appreciate the Panthers a lot.

Did you intend to have Making an Entrance in your deck list? I only see it in the write up.

@Raftman Good catch! That was the last cut I made.
