She Is the Deadliest

Gamora

OK, so I have to make a confession - I don't really play Gamora much...BUT, more recently, I have been trying to rectify that, and I have to say Thanos' daughter is one of the most fun and powerful heroes in the game! Couldn't believe I'd been sleeping on her!

Master of Everything

So this deck isn't by any means innovative nor does it lean into one particular theme. It's built to be a solid, all-round deck and in true solo, you'll find that Gamora can easily thwart and attack without much difficulty.

Card Draw McGraw

The allies chosen are all Guardian traited and this is to trigger the abilities of Knowhere.

The only upgrade added has been Change of Fortune with the idea that Gamora's Crosscounter or Powerful Punch can defeat a minion in order to draw two more cards whilst also removing thwart from the scheme.

No 'I' in TEAM

Although Gamora can handle things herself, it's always good to call in your friends -

Nebula has good THWT and ATK, and although she only has 2hp, she can grab an event for you to either use as resource, or for you to fish out exactly the event you need;

Cosmo I've found is handy in that if you use him whilst you're in alter-ego, and you DON'T trigger Gamora's alter -ego action...then you can use that to guess the card for Cosmo, and keep him around;

Moondragon is famously a terrible ally, I've included her here as she is an ally and I must admit I did get to use her once to have a minion defeat another. None of her stats are critical, ..but she does make for a good blocker;

Groot is just a great ally and should be included in all Guardian decks. Have him not only defend against the villain, but also use him to defend against minions and watch him heal..! I usually alternate with having him defend against a villain, then a minion or vice versa...to get the most out of him;

Rocket Raccoon is also a valuable ally as he can get rid of minions but also is handy in thwarting...prioritise him or Groot if you can;

Star-Lord is a decent ally, but if you aren't into getting an encounter card, he may prove hard to play. I find his worth outweighs the encounter card - so don't be afraid to use him, but if there are other options in the moment, I'd consider them;

Starhawk is another great Guardian ally - recur him and draw a card with Knowhere...The-One-Who-Knows (who incidentally is Quasar's descendant) is reborn again and again...very thematic;

It's All About the Events

Gamora is admittedly all about the events...you want to trigger her hero actions as much as you can, so this is why over half the deck are events.

Opening up options to stun and confuse, I've added Concussive Blow and Cutupper to allow for that option to stall the villain or flip down if need be to trigger Conditioning Room;

Clobber gives the option to bring it back to your hand but I've only added one copy as this feature isn't essential;

For Justice! is just a good solid thwarting event...with Keen Instincts you can also trigger 4 threat removal...just agood solid card;

Hard Knocks is for the minions and similar to the stun/confuse cards, it offers that possibility to gain a tough...again to give Gamora just a bit of wiggle room to survive and prep for the next player phase;

Multitalented is a card you just can't NOT have for Gamora - heals her, thwarts, attacks...then triggers both her hero reponses...gold!
