Kate's Bugging Clint

Deck Conception and Theme I've spent a long time building different Hawkeye decks trying to find one that felt thematic and effective. I primarily play 3-4 player pickup games at my FLGS where players typically coordinate between thwarters and damage dealers when choosing decks. I've been fine tuning this specific one for over a year now and it's one of my favorite decks to play.

To make this deck feel like Hawkeye three cards were reskinned to better fit a Hawkeye-centric theme: Kate Bishop, Kate's Bow, and Piercing Arrows.

Deck Function Hawkeye's hero kit is designed to be entirely self contained with little to no interaction with aspect cards. The goal is to get Hawkeye's Quiver in play ASAP and shoot an arrow every turn from either your hand or the quiver, paid for by his Expert Marksmanship. Once this is set up, you're shooting an arrow for 0-1 ER every turn and using most to all of your hand for other things.

Hawkeye's basic attack heals Kate, is boosted by Combat Training and Skilled Strikes, and is more efficient (even though it's less cool) than readying his bow to shoot a second arrow.

Kate fight's alongside Hawkeye, buffed with her own bow, arrows, and a boost from Boot Camp. She relies on Clint's help to stay in the fight by healing her consequential damage after Clint makes a basic attack.

Clint and Kate get additional damage dealing help from a suite of inexpensive Aggression allies that also help block incoming attacks so Clint can stay ready and healthy to keep fighting. Endurance, Moment of Triumph, and Crew Quarters provide healing options to avoid basic recovery actions that shut down both Clint and Kate's damage output for a turn. Spoiling for a Fight provides a ready for an emergency basic recovery action or if Clint exhausted to deal with his Criminal Past.

Deck Setup The two most important cards to get started with are Hawkeye's Quiver and Kate Bishop. The only cards I don't mulligan in searching for these two cards are Expert Marksman because they're the next most important cards to get the deck going.

The deck includes 2 copies of both Kate's Bow and Piercing Arrows to increase how quickly she gets up to speed once she's in play.
