Mission is to take out the enemy as swiftly as possible.
To do so we will Infiltrate, Investigate and then Interrogate. We have a couple of spies on the team to aid in this mission as well as some extremely powerful allies.
Setup:
This mission requires very little setup however Wasp's Helmet provides some added thwart power in Giant form.
Specialized Training can be cleared to also provide Surveillance Specialist further increasing our thwart power and providing card draw.
Ingenuity provides a resource but does need to be played in AE first.
Skilled Investigator provides card draw when a side scheme is defeated. We have multiple copies to hand out to squad mates accompanying us on our mission.
Helicarrier cuts the cost of the next card played in this phase by 1.
Quincarrier provides a resource.
Under Surveillance helps keep the main scheme from popping, really helpful against scenarios like Mister Sinister with low threat thresholds.
Mission Plan:
In Tiny form, Wasp deals a damage to the villain each time she defeats an enemy or a side scheme. Our mission is to continuously infiltrate the enemy and draw them out to hit with a Pinpoint Strike dealing overkill damage and due to our Interrogation Methods, we can also remove a threat from a scheme after defeating a minion. For example, if a 5 health minion comes out and we hit with a pinpoint, we will deal 3 overkill to the villain plus an additional damage for Wasp's ability. If threat is low, you can use Wasp's basic attack to lower the minions health to deal more damage from the overkill.
Then we can flip back to our Alter Ego and use Nadia's ability to shuffle infiltration and pinpoint back in to draw again. Worried about the pesky villain scheming? One of our powerful friends Redacted can confuse the villain for us while also clearing some threat beforehand.
Our good friend Redacted can find us a prep card and while we only have 1 prep card, Counterintelligence it is extremely helpful in mitigating threat for flip downs, especially when we square off with stalwart villains. In MP this can also allow multiple people to flip down and see very little threat go on the MS. A confuse stops one activation and counterintelligence would minimize another.
Another plan is to Lay the Trap and then use Infiltration to clear it in Tiny Form. In solo, we can deal 5 damage to the villain from the trap and another from Wasp's ability as well as drawing from Skilled Investigator.
Swap back and forth between Giant and Tiny form depending on the board state. Since Wasp is always Ready to Rumble you can thwart in Giant form for up to 4 with her Helmet and Surveillance Specialist out then flip to Tiny form and use a Pinpoint Strike to take out a minion dealing overkill to the villain.
Redacted provides card draw for us or some burst damage/threat depending on the board state.
Redacted can only be played in AE but can provide up to 3 card draw if you use all resources to pay for her.
Redacted helps us find our Player Side Schemes allowing us to get set up more quickly.
Face the Past is great for Wasp as her nemesis is a push-over. Draw her out to draw cards, defeat her and let her be shuffled back into the deck to do it all over again.
The goal is simple: Infiltrate, Investigate, Interrogate, Strike with Pinpoint Accuracy.
Other Considerations:
Chance Encounter is great however i took it out as most of our allies have the resource and can be shuffled back in. With the card draw we have, you'll see them again soon.
Heroic Intuition can further boost our thwart power but it didn't feel necessary especially with Infiltration doing large amounts of removal.
Grant Ward fits in with the theme but having to spend the resource can hurt.
I wasn't high on Wasp but i have been playing this deck alot over the last couple of weeks in both Solo and 2-handed having a blast. It has performed extremely well against a number of scenarios in both player counts.
I would love to hear any feedback or experiences with the deck!
Nice deck! I'll give it a try, as I've never tried him yet.
As you say, Grant Ward requires a , but you can easily get one from the Ingenio.
