Colossus is a cool and powerful hero, but he has a rough time when he doesn't draw his Armor Up. When he does, things are great: the villain doesn't scheme and their attack thuds into your tough status. But this isn't consistently achieved. The rest of the time, his puny hand size of 4 in hero form is not how to get the job done.

There have been several cool cards in recent releases that are great for Colossus.

  • "Come Get Me, Bub!" -- is a heal and tough status for 1 card. This is a great way to get a tough for cheap when you would otherwise start your turn without one.
  • Ready for a Fight -- WOW, this is 3 more copies of Armor up. The requirement is super easy for Colossus to satisfy. Because this is a Preparation, it can be combined with Practiced Plan to virtually always have either Armor Up or Ready for a Fight in play. This means you can flip EVERY SINGLE TURN and the villain will never scheme! Just use your allies to deal with the main scheme.

The rest of the deck is pretty standard fare for Colossus and Alter-ego-heavy X-men. The allies are all efficient X-men that get you tough status or tutor helpful cards (thanks, Hope). Taunt and Limitless Stamina need a reason to NOT be used with colossus. All the supports are pretty greedy, but because you'll be in Alter-Ego so much, enough value will come of them.

Dr. Sinclair is only here because it's a new card. Colosuss actually has a very hard time paying for it. I'd recommend swapping it, and maybe 1 copy of practiced plan, out for some double resources or player side schemes.
