Just after testing Doctor Strange against the Horsemen of Apocalypse scenario, I wanted to replay a more modest hero in terms of performance, Ghost-Spider. But having been too lazy to put away the cards of this scenario and take others, I finally urge Gwen to fight the four Villains.
It's a fairly simple deck which focuses on Ghost-Spider's two big assets :
-
Its effectiveness in defense
-
Its ability (Dizzying Reflexes) to potentially ready up twice per turn using Interrupt or Response events. Taunt and Ghost Kick allow her to readying up during the player phase ; other Defense events during the villain phase.
To compensate for his low-average thwart, I added Hard to Ignore, Not Today!, and Jump Flip.
Web-Bracelet and Unflappable help your drawing.
The spider guys around Ghost-Spider attack the minions, thwart, stun / confuse or ready her even more.
More generally, I can invite you to play this deck if:
-
You play true solo
-
You prefer to stay in hero form than alter-ego
-
You want to defend a lot, without sacrificing the attack and the thwart
-
You play against a scenario with few minions but a lot of threat pressure and/or very aggressive bad Villains.
