Agent Coulson is ready for support

Why this deck?

I love preparations and wanted to make a deck that used all of them. So, that is why I decided to build a deck with Adam Warlock that can search for any of them

What is the goal of this deck?

Either play Agent Coulson and grab the Preparation of the specific aspect that you need for Battle Mage or play Pixie and grab the X-Men that you need from your discard pile

How did I build this deck?

First, I had to decide the proportion between basic cards and aspect cards that I wanted to use. I tried to use 9 basic cards and 16 aspect cards but there were a lot of times that I didn't have any aspect card to use Battle Mage. Therefore, I decided to change it to 5 basic cards and 20 aspect cards.

Mystic cards

Mystic has some of the best cards in the game so it was a no brainer to add them.

Preparation cards

Coulson is the MVP of the deck. He lets you search for the aspect card you need at the time you need it. At first I thought I would have all of them on my board and be ready for anything. But most of the time, I just use them for Battle Mage. Rapid Response is the only one that I play, just because the leadership effect of Battle Mage is not worth it.

X-Men

X-men has great allies so I decided to have many of them for Pixie to find one when she is played. With so much discard that Adam does, there is always a target for her

This is an interesting mix of cards as I've come to expect when looking at Adam Warlock decks. I like the idea of being able to repeatedly grab the exact preparation you need whenever Agent Coulson hits the board.

With a decent amount of S.H.I.E.L.D. in the deck and recursion, is there a card swap you would consider for Sky-Destroyer ?

@Starlordxx

I tested using more S.h.i.e.l.d support cards at first, but most of them are basic cards and I had to decide to either have 5 or 9 basic cards. When using 9 basic cards, I felt that I didn't see aspect cards enough. So that is why I decided to drop them.

If I had to replace a basic card for Sky-Destroyer, it would be Spiritual Meditation.

I want to try this again after Maria Hill releases with more S.h.i.e.l.d. cards from all the aspects.

This is a really cool deck idea. Coulson can put in a lot of work with Warlock when you add in all the different preparations.

I wasn’t prepared for how fun this deck was. It definitely gave me the feeling of Black Widow’s control with the fun of multi-aspect pairing!
