Magneto - Leader of the X-Men

The point of this deck is more of a thematic type build rather than one that really does a lot. This deck looks back at the Age of Apocalypse comic book run in the early oo's. There is no Professor X in this deck because in that comic book run he was dead and Magneto was the leader of the X-men.

Aside from that, there are a few things that help make this deck more viable but also keep it from being fully thematic. The New Recruits Side Scheme and some allies like X-23 and White Fox among others are only apart of the deck to make it more viable.

The way this deck runs, though is fairly interesting. In the five or so games that I used it in, I noticed that I depended more on magneto than on the allies that I thought I would. I did the best with Magneto's Armor and Magneto's Cape on the table alongside with Utopia to just get a ton of readies on Magneto. His armor would constantly buff him and the cape and Utopia would serve to ready magneto fairly consistently. The most powerful turns were when I could play Phoenix when an ally that had been buffed with inspired was on the table. I was able to use Phoenix to ready both that ally and trigger Utopia.
