Wake up Guardians, new rush combo dropped. Wanna OTK VG stage III? Delete a Loki? This deck’s got you.

"You Got This!" adds matching power*, not just printed power, making it a perfect pairing with Blaze of Glory.

This opens up several avenues for OTK combos with a single ally in solo using BoG and YGT on top of the usual Daring Escapes. You effectively get two readies out of YGT when you use your ally again and ready yourself.

And that’s just the combo, not counting for extra resources for an Element Gun, other allies in play, Daring Escape, or a Sliding Shot for good measure. You could "You Got This!" multiple times as well, assuming you have enough allies to really go down in a Blaze of Glory.

To make sure the combo lines up, we have several helpers to secure it. Black Panther grabs whatever part of the combo you don't have and holds onto it for the perfect time. Gamora and Kaluu can help fish for part of the combo, and Beast is able to grab extra resources to afford everything. Even White Tiger affords us some card draw to make something happen.

Pushing the Bad Boy to maximum overdrive, there’s Command Team, Team Training, and Major Victory to get the most out of the allies hit points before showing off those sick dance moves. Team training plus one of the others would bump let Goliath swing for another 7 for an example.

Like Star Lord in general, you can’t just go off discarding allies and leaving yourself to survive off 1 defense. While getting ready for the big finish, Noble Sacrifice will keep you alive in addition to Bad Boy, which the latter will most likely guarantee the combo to be ready (or more). The best ally for the sacrifice is by far Groot, who will nab you a stunning 6 health and a tough. We really are Groot, old buddy. Once he’s sustained too much damage to keep defending the sacrifice will almost heal you to full and give you one more block via tough. I’m sure he’ll at least be back as Baby Groot. Black Panther and Goliath also give a respectable 4. Bill’s going out anyway after the +4 bump might as well get something for your troubles.

This deck is geared for solo (as is most rush) but you come close to a OTK in 2p anyway. You also have the added flexibility in mp to do bonkers thwart on top of bonkers damage. 12 thw pss are pretty trivial on those turns especially if you have Leader of the Guardians out. Mp also means the addition of more people to cover your frailness/deal with encounter cards. Thanks for checking this out. You’re as legendary as Star Lord.

*Awaiting an official ruling as there is confusion if You Got This allies receive the buff. Regardless this combo can still easily OTK many villains as it averages 14 damage the “nerfed” way.

This deck is just awesome. Goliath is one of my favorite allies because he's so much fun to use as a wincon. I'm definitely trying this out.

At the bottom of the description you said; "there is confusion if You Got This allies receive the buff". Can you explain what ruling we're unsure of? "Matching power" would include any increase to the allies ATK as far as I know.

@boomguy and I hope you're not lactose intolerant because the second word is...

@manx great question! I've heard some people argue that since the ally is discarded before the cost arrow the value is only what is what is shown in the discard aka printed value. I think the intention is that buffs matter and they benefit from it/you benefit from it when you use YGT, but wanted to submit it anyway for clarity. It's fun either way, but way more fun when Goliath alone is getting you to 20+ :)

@ClassyRobot

Oh I see the issue now. Well it would make sense for buffs not to count for the reason you stated. Though, Noble Sacrifice has the same kind of effect and that card specifies "printed hit points". Since YGT doesn't specify "printed matching power" in the same way that Noble Sacrifice does, it seems to imply that they wanted YGT to include buffs.

@ClassyRobot nice deck, I guess you included build support for Bad Boy, did you consider Teamwork to combo with Command Team?
