In honour of the new Deadpool & Wolverine movie, I've attempted to create a 90% thematic meta deck that can still get the job done and be a viable solo deck even against the hardest villains.
The intent of the deck is to get all the + hit points upgrades on the board (getting him to 27 HP) and then just taking it to the face and healing up each turn. Bonus points for when Berserker Frenzy is on the board and turning him into a card drawing machine.
Between Healing Factor, Wolverine's regular +2 HP each turn, Triage topping him up in a pinch, and Regenerative Healing, Wolverine can stay in hero form pretty much the entire game, but a quick dip to alter ego can keep him going as well.
In terms of the deck, most allies were selected because of their appearance in either the Wolverine or Deadpool movies, although concessions had to be made for the deck to be viable. These are the 10% non-thematic cards!
Snowguard is there to thwart, Triage to heal, and
<EDIT - REMOVED>Hope Summers to get Track by Scent or Regenerative Healing as required.< END REMOVED> ...
Synch to sit in the corner and boost Wolverine as needed.
**After playing a bit more, Hope is too expensive and the deck doesn't have enough resource generators or discounts to make it worth including. You play Hope and 90% of the time get a card you have to sit on until the next turn. Too much lost momentum. Synch is a nice passive stat buff that can be used every turn and with the symbiote suit and his attack upgrade Wolverine can thwart for 4 and attack for 5.
Target Acquired and Stepford Cuckoos provide protection from an angry encounter deck.
The deck is unfortunately light on attack events, but that's just a consequence of playing the 'Pool aspect. There will be some awkward turns where you don't really have a lot to play, but Mulligan can sometimes help with that. Besides that the deck can sometimes rush and quickly burn down certain villains, but it shines when all the upgrades are on the board and Wolverine becomes essentially unkillable.
I hope you enjoy this Wolverine deck.
