Despite Psionic Bond, Phoenix needs a good resource engine in order to take full advantage of her Hero Card suite and in attempting to gain full advantage of the PSIONIC suite of cards in the initial X-men block drop. I built this deck with a BASIC resource support engine at its core, assured with The Power in All of Us pushing the play of BASIC supports, Storm and Symbiote Suit. As Endurance wasn't good enough to add health to Phoenix's 9 health. Symbiote Suit was an extreme way to step up. However, for the benefit, Phoenix can handle the additional encounter card.

In trying to get the most out of Cerebro, given Phoenix's PSIONIC trait, she can search the whole deck for an X-men Ally. Therefore, given the 10 slots left post resource suit, i considered Protection, Aggression and Leadership, for their X-men Allies and what it would take to make them relevant as Jean's ally. Leadership only has Beast so thats was easily discounted and Aggression is hard not to go down a Wolverine heal and increase attack suite. However that needed more than 10 cards and isn't a cycle suite. So that was out to. Protection was interesting as i love all three X-Men allies, Rockslide, Nightcrawler and Polaris. With the addition of Psychic Misdirection synerging with PSIONIC. I ran tests. However, protection really diverted resources away from Phoenix's end game efforts, So i switched to Justice. With a good Ally suit, TRAINING card that helps press thwart control and with One Way or Another snergyising with Skilled Investigator, the deck fell together pretty simply.

Testing is going well in both solo and mulitplayer. Pressing me to include Soul Sisters and Psychic Rapport as healing to both Pheonix and Storm is excellent, nevermind readying. In addition, whether in Mulitplayer with Cyclops or solo with the ally. Readying and getting two more power counters is a no brainer.
