I love when a hero's ability says "once per phase" instead of "once per round", I immediately want to find a way to use that ability on the villain turn. Gamora protection can be a lot of fun, pinging enemies and schemes on hero AND villain turns.

Events: Counter-Punch, First Hit, and True Grit all allow you to attack or thwart on the enemy turn. Momentum Shift helps keep you in hero form, Clear the Area, Clobber, and Impede are all solid justice and aggression events.

Allies: Because Gamora will be defending on her own a bunch, we didn't need allies to be blockers. Black Widow and Warlock give useful abilities, and Clea and Ironheart are staples.

Upgrades and Support: Armored Vest is a must since you'll be defending almost every turn, and Avengers Mansion helps get you more card draw options. Keen Instincts and the lower cost-curve keep out much of a need for resource generating.


I used this deck to beat the Rise of the Red Skull campaign and Kang on expert, paired with Drax Leadership.
