This card is the focal point of the central 'Pool archetype that rewards you for having negative icons in play. "I Got This", Barely a Scratch, and Laser Swords are the key payoffs for this archetype and are necessary imo since the +2 hand size does not make up for the icons, especially at low player count games. Bazooka is ok too, but I think worse than the Swords and competes for your restricted slots. We've seen a bit of this high-risk, high-reward card design in the past with Symbiote Suit, a card that feels broken against already easy scenarios and single-handedly loses you the game against hard scenarios. I think the same will be said for this archetype, as it really depends how bad for you that hazard icon is on whether or not you can afford to play this. The other icons can be mitigated more easily - amplify by stunning/confusing, and crisis by confusing, Crisis Averted effects, Under Surveillance, or a rush attack strategy more generally. Living dangerously will be most acceptable in 4-player games since the hazard and acceleration icons do not scale with more players, but everyone gets the hand size bonus. Overall, I've found the drawback of this strategy too difficult to overcome with not enough payoffs, but it has resulted in some tense and fun games at Standard difficulty.

This is a card that really matter with how/when it’s played. As previously noted this card enables the full buff on Laser Swords but even that doesn’t fully justify playing it. Ideally you would only run this combo at higher player counts, on a hero with easy access to readying, after the board is stabilized, and with the intent of quickly closing out the game. The hand size bonus is somewhat misleading as people may view this as a ramp card to build value over the villain but this typically won’t be the case. — TrueHiddenMist · 72
