This is a second version of the deck I posted a few days ago. I've been playing it some more and changed a few things around for the better.
-
Lots of upgrades to put in play to thin your deck. By the end of a game, you draw your deck quickly, thanks to The Sorcerer Supreme, Spiritual Meditation, Avengers Mansion, Nick Fury and Unflappable.
-
I cut a few resources from the original. You get to draw so many cards it wasn't highly relevant to keep The Power in All of Us or the second carrier.
-
I rarely have to revert to alter-ego. Once you're set up, you've got lots of damage prevention (Side Step, Never Back Down, Preemptive Strike, Magic Shield). Combined with Armored Vest and paid by Nerves of Steel, your defense events can also damage the villain / stun him (Never Back Down really is useful here), and trigger Unflappable.
-
Allies to help THW, stun, counter encounters, draw, place the top encounter cards as you wish...
All in all this is a much better version, thinning your deck and allowing you to draw lots of cards t play even more Hex Bolts (I once got to play all 4 in the same round... pretty cool!).
Have fun!

Apr 14, 2021Hey thx!! To be honest I have been more obsessed about beating GMW on expert and haven't given this deck much thought. You make a very valid point though, I think I'd try swapping him with Iron Fist that I haven't played so much with this deck. Thx for the suggestion! |
Apr 26, 2021Besides Starhawk, who is slightly better in her deck than with other heroes because SW has some control over the amount of damage that Starhawk can take if he defends, the most amazing card for her in solo is the one included in her pack: Bait and Switch. I have 3 copies in my deck and it is just amazing, especially that you need SW to thwart a lot once acceleration tokens start coming out. It's not as good a card for multiplayer, but for solo it's one of the best cards in Protection I think. I have been consistently winning vs expert Klaw (5 times already) so I am ready to move on to other villains. |
nice deck, will give it a try! have you thought of swapping any of the included allies for the new Starhawk ally? he has nice synergy with SW
