Is friendship really a superpower? Well, Marvel Champions thinks it is. Let's go full Saturday morning cartoon or after-school anime and use the power of friendship to defeat evil! Mechanically, this deck uses Rogue's unique recursion abilities to turn a cute ally-event interaction into a major source of damage. Here's how:
1. Setup
Get your defense up with Armored Vest and Defensive Conditioning and get Web of Life and Destiny on the board (for free, if you have Touched on a Web Warrior ally!). Don't forget to bring your many spider-themed friends to the party and save a space for Billy. Billy is your new best friend.
Next, place Touched on a Web-Warrior ally. Any of them will do, but I think it's most thematic to give Billy a high-five. He is your best friend, after all.
2. Unleash your Friendship
Stronger Together, combined with your boosted defense, allows Billy to defend against an attack, hit back for upwards of 5 dmg, and survive to do it again. Speaking of doing it again...
3. Unleash it, Again!
Med Team can heal Billy of any excess damage he took which Stronger Together couldn't cover. Then, if you have Touched attached to a Protection ally (again, bonus points if it's Billy), you can use Superpower Adaptation to search your discard pile for Stronger Together, setting you up for another 5 dmg on the upcoming villain phase. 3x Superpower Adaptation and 3x Stronger Together means you can have Billy block and hit back up to six times per deck pass for consistent, and very resource-efficient, damage.
Other Notes
This deck's basic loop is very cheap, once set up. This gives you plenty of resources to play Rogue's fun event cards or replace your pool of allies. Ever Vigilant is a pretty easy include, considering you'll usually have aerial. They give the deck a bit of extra thwart and the readies have some synergy with Rogue's Jacket's stat boosts. I considered adding Aerial Intervention as a way to more reliably loop Billy's defensive damage. However, once you're set up, it's just a less effective version of Stronger Together that also requires you to exhaust Rogue.
I had a lot of fun building and playing this deck and I hope you do, too. Enjoy!
