Herc Firepower
With two weapons in his kit, one of which doesn’t have an exhaust ability, Hercules is a great fit for Firepower. This deck leans into lots of damage, pumping up Herc’s base ATK and giving him access to big attack events.
Firepower Supplies
- Sword of Peleus. One of Herc’s gifts, doesn’t need to exhaust for anything.
- Golden Mace. Cheap, and can be readied with Son of Zeus.
- Jarnbjorn. Cheap, doesn’t exhaust. Just remember you need a Side Holster out to play all three of these since they’re restricted.
- Pulse Grenade. My favorite target for Firepower because they’re not restricted, and can even be discarded afterward for even more damage. Since they sit on the table until you need them, they are great for helping finish Defeat the Hydra quickly when it’s drawn.
- Sharpshooter. Firepower is a ranged attack with multiple instances of damage, so sharpshooter turns it into 4-5 per weapon exhausted. This lets you one-shot the Hydra if you have 3 weapons.
Other Includes
- Both Combat Training and Aggressive Conditioning. Herc’s ATK is his best stat so why not lean into it. Also helps with Embody Pathos since that gives the scheme assault.
- Toe to Toe. This can be used on minions, but also to draw extra villain attacks for you to defend to finish off Protect Humanity faster. Since it happens in the player phase you are more likely to be able to use an extra ready to defend for more attacks per round.
- Several cheap allies to make sure you have targets for Protect Humanity in case Amadeus Cho gets defeated.
It’s 44 cards but about half the deck stays on the table so it cycles quickly once you build out. I’ve really enjoyed this deck in 2 player. I’m planning to take it to Con of Heroes and can’t wait to see how it does with a higher player count!
