We're going to Cameo Wiccan to help Nebula in two situations:

  1. No techniques out? Wiccan can find Combat Ready
  2. Lots of techniques out? Wiccan can find Lethal Intent to help you trigger them.

Obviously we pay two cards at the start for this, but if we keep a Technique upgrade and play it, we can draw 2 more to offset that somewhat.

We have some additional allies:

  • Groot can defend for you, helping to protect Tough cards and keep +1 ATK and +1 THW from Unyielding Persistence
  • Gamora can also trigger a Technique, and has good thwarting if you want to stay in alter-ego longer to build out.
  • Major Victory gives an extra ready once defeated, making more use of your 3/3/2 statline
  • Maria Hill, Kid Omega and Martinex are just helpful to manage board state and chump block.

4 out of 6 of these have 2 THW, so can manage threat for you.

Keeping allies around:

  • As Nebula heads to AE regularly, Med Lab can help you keep an ally of choice around once you've found them.
  • Make the Call can find the ally you need for the given situation, if they are in the discard.

  • Regroup allows more protection of Nebula's tough cards

Note that Lethal Intent can be called for as an off-turn action, so if you're in multiplayer you can play it before your turn starts and your upgrades are discarded, to get more value out of each upgrade.

Go All Out is added for some extra help in progressing towards the win condition. This should either do 6 damage, or 8 damage with Unyielding Persistence. We'll be able to use Nebula's Ship to meet the requirements to play it reliably, and it's often worth keeping Major Victory around with 1HP to have an easy way to get ready for it.

Down Time means we can often get away with 1 recover per flip, allowing more attacking and thwarting.

Nice pairing. This might get me to break out Nebula again after 3 years.
