I hope I had your attention! Of course this deck can beat Absorbing Man. This deck is pretty potent. Like Ronan Expert but you don't care about this, I'm sure. You are here for C-C-C-C-OMBOS !
Combos
Drop Pinned down on a minion that has an attack between 0 and 3, and use the Herc's Helm to block it. It should trigger Hard to Ignore and Not Today! and that should take care of all thwart needs for the game! All the other Pinned Down should immobilize other minions. If you have none, "Come Get Me, Bub!" will help sanitize the encounter deck.
Take your time. This deck doesn't die. If you have a catastrophic hand or need to thwart more than planned, tutor Lockjaw.
Use Ready for a Fight if you need to go back to alter ego following a labor. Sure you may not have a lot of things to do in alter ego, but usually you'll have an ally or something else to play.
