”A History of Violence” (1997)
This is a medium complexity deck focusing on boosting damage dealt to enemies through a variety of events and upgrades, leaning into Bucky's natural threat removal as needed to keep the board under control.

The key component of this deck is Directed Force. In order to take advantage of it, we need to have keywords when attacking as often as possible. Each of these attacks can make use of Directed Force:
- Firepower provides ranged
- Relentless Assault provides overkill
- Winter Rifle provides ranged
- Metal Punch provides overkill
- Hand Cannon provides overkill
We also have other ways to increase damage output:
- Cybernetic Arm increases damage on attack events by +1;
- Winter Rifle adds +2 ATK when using a basic attack;
- Warrior Skill increases damage by +1 when you attack;
- Sharpshooter discards the top card of your deck and increases damage by the number of icons (most often +1) when using a ranged attack. Note: Both Firepower and basic attacks with Winter Rifle meet this requirement!
Other tidbits:
- Aggressive Stance will search your deck for an Attack event, which you will most often use for Firepower (note that Safe House #30 doesn't work with Aggressive Stance due to it being a Hero Response)
- Assault Training is here to shuffle Aggression events back into your discard pile when you flip to alter-ego, so you can find them with Aggressive Stance
- Hand Cannon gives you another target for Directed Force and allows you to use it on another activation after you ready, if you use Winter Rifle for your first activation
- Lock and Load gets Winter Rifle into play, or S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm or Hand Cannon if you've already played it
- Spoiling for a Fight combos really well with Aggressive Stance, since Safe House #30 doesn't work with it
- Winter, Widow, Soldier, Spy can help you recycle Aggressive Stance or Silent Infiltration; keeping Black Widow in play is valuable, as she can also hold a S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm for Firepower
Bucky has access to two team-up cards. either or both could be included, depending on other players at the table, or how big you want the deck to be:
- Winter, Widow, Soldier, Spy is included in the deck
- Super-Soldiers could be included as another card or swapped out for Winter, Widow, Soldier, Spy
