*Death is subjective
Deadpool is here--and he's on a suicide mission with 5 of his closest friends!
So Suit Up and come along for the ride as this rag-tag bunch of cretins as they do their best to live up to being the second best team of mutants you've never heard of.
The goal of the deck is to lean into what the X-Force is good at: defeating side schemes and dying.
That's right! As the leader of this mission, Deadpool's primary objective is to keep the team safe. Unlike other leaders, who might defend for their team, Deadpool will take shots to the face to repeatedly perish, making Cable better in the process. Since we die a lot and spend time in AE regularly, Suit Up is easy to play. Since we will recover a lot using Chimichanga Truck, Sidekick will keep Cable very healthy. Moira MacTaggert gives us extra cards for flipping into hero form regularly. Since we don't care about health, Clarity of Purpose can give us resources in exchange for it. Nifty, eh?
But wait, there's more.
Team Training gives our allies additional uses which are very valuable, Inspired boosts their stats, Rapid Response can bring them back in a pinch, and Call for Backup can find them if they wander off. Frenemies gives your best bud a little prick in exchange for some thwarting. He'll be fine. He's had worse.
But the piece de resistance is our team card, Uncanny X-Force. This gives every team member additional thwart (for all thwarting), and reduces the consequential damage they take when specifically thwarting side schemes. This will chew up schemes for the table and spit them into the discard pile as a half-digested mess. Yummy.
Face the Past gives us cards in exchange for a lame groupie that nobody even recognizes or cares about. Finally, IPAC is here to give us a bunch of cards when we need them in exchange for encounter cards. But really, what's the worst that could happen?
If you enjoyed this, let me know! I can't wait to get some games in with everyone at MC/DC 2025!

Oct 12, 2025Bringing Deadpool to multiplayer games is a choice, but at least it looks like this deck has the thwart to take care of the extra threat! |

Oct 12, 2025The rest of the table always loves Mission Leader, too! I love the experimentation with Deadpool here. I feel like it's easy to reduce him to This Card is Fire abuse, but his kit definitely has a lot more going on. |
Oct 12, 2025I've been a huge fan of Deadpool sidekick since day 1, its one of the best out there! And he's super fun in multiplayer (the only real way to play him, solo is pretty meh) |
Oct 12, 2025Good stuff as usual! |
