Squadron Leader: Air Supremacy

Hi all, it's time now to build a fun X-Men deck. And I also think it's time everyone go ahead and play unassisted. Here let me take these from you and lean them against the wall.

There we go. Isn't that better? Now let's go ahead and take to the skies. Wait, you seem shocked Nightcrawler is here. Why is that? He can fly! Well, he teleports super high, which somehow is less Aerial than standing on a cold surfboard, but hey! We're working with what we got. And what we got is great!

This was written for the Winning Hand deckbuilding challenge.

We have our wingmen: Aero, Cannonball, Cloud 9, and Snowguard.

We also brought some cadets: Blade, Iron Man, Ronin, and Wonder Man. Don't worry, we brought Sky Cycle for them to join us in the sky.

This deck is all about Air Supremacy, so we really need minions to make that card feel good. So, we also are running Squared Off to get an Aerial ally down cheap and have a minion. We brought Kurt's usual favorite cards: Face the Past, The X-Jet, and X-Gene for economy. The Power of Flight also helps us play Air Supremacy or an ally.

Why Nightcrawler? Our boy doesn't need blockers because he's not some timid hero that needs to use his friends to survive. Kurt stands tall and makes his buddies feel just as important as he is, a true ally. Some fun interactions:

Blade and Wonder Man can sit with their Sky Cycle for Air Supremacy, but are also hand-smoothers and can go ahead and attack. If you don't need a Bamf!, grab one anyway and use it to make Blade smack someone.

Cloud 9 juicing Snowguard and Ronin to the 9s.
