Magik is very powerful. Maybe too powerful. Her hero ability reduces the cost of cards, and essentially expands your hand size by one (ramp and card advantage to my MTG players out there). Making a powerful Magik deck can be fun, but personally, I would rather try to build something that feels unique.

Fluid Motion is a cool card. Maybe a little hard to make work. Especially with multiple copies. Playing multiple attack events to raise your attack stat is cool, but inherently uses a lot of cards, and any time you raise your ATK you want to get an extra ready if at all possible. Enter Magik; between the extra card you have access to, the reduced cost of that card, the potential 3 base attack with soulsword, and the readies attached to her three copies of stepping disc, you are looking at a character who can both activate multiple fluid motions and squeeze in an extra ready or two all in one turn. Magik is uniquely pivoted to bring out the potential in this card.

Lots of other "bad" cards inhabit this deck. They are made interesting, exciting, and even pretty darn good by the unusual context that is a Magik-Fluid Motion deck. Let's talk about two awesome "bad" cards.

Enhanced Physique- This card is generally 3 ER for 3 resources paid out between 3 later turns. Snores. When you play it off the top of her deck though, it is 1 ER. Hoochie Moochie. It can even refund itself that very turn. It also helps increase the number of physical resources in this deck which allows you to turn on more stuns via Soul Strike and power up the Soulsword with more consistency. A cheap as free resource generator (even a temporary one) is a great thing to have when you are trying to fire off multiple 1-cost attack events and/or 1-cost readies per turn.

Press the Advantage- Magik is excellent at Stuns (and even Confuses if your justice player is lacking). Press the advantage becomes an excellent way to trigger fluid motion for 1 or 0 ER and manipulate the top of Magik's deck while you're at it. It's a thing of beauty.

I really hope you try this deck out. It works, but more importantly it's fun. The most enjoyable part is watching the faces of the other players when you cream a board full of minions or drop a villain stage with Fluid Motions and Enhanced Physiques.

Enjoy!

If you were playing this in solo or just trying to optimize, you could definitely squeeze Utopia and some 2 cost xmen in here to optimize for readies and blocks. This particular list was built for multi-player and was being played next to a Storm Leadership deck so I wanted to leave as many of those tools for the other players. Not to mention utopia has been done a lot already and this deck is more about playing in a different way.
