Every since Strength in Diversity was revealed, I've been trying to max out the number of unique/different traits. The easiest way for me to figure this puzzle out is to build a True Solo deck.

In a solo game, the maximum number of traits that I figured out was 18.

Here is the setup:

Rogue (Hero) with Children of the Atom Support - X-Men, X-Factor, X-Force + Touched

Rogue's Touched attached to Crossbones (Villain) with Super Strength and Telepathy modular set = Hydra, Mercenary, Brute (from super strength), Psionic (from telepathy).

Allies in play with The Triskelion support:

  • Vivian - Aerial, Android, Champion
  • Hugin & Munin - Aerial, Asgard, Bird
  • Atlas Bear - Posse, Wakanda
  • Slingshot - Shield, Spy
  • Bling! - New, X-Men (if your Hero is a Mutant or X-Men, doesn't count against Ally limit)
  • Stinger - Avenger (Doesn't count against your Ally limit)

This is just a sample deck list that can take advantage of the different traits by using cheap allies and keeping them on the board with Tough status cards from Ready for Action and Bulletproof Belle.

Most of the allies can be swapped around for different traits such as Grant Ward instead of Slingshot for Shield/Spy, Spider-Ham for Cartoon/Web-Warrior, etc.
