Think 10 resource cards is too many? Think you've accidentally stumbled onto a surprise Bishop deck? Huh. I guess you haven't heard...
...THE BIRD IS THE WORD!

...No, really, stay with me here.
Redwing, our BIRD ally, is the ULTIMATE resource sink!
We can play Redwing, exhaust him with his ability that also brings him back to our hand, then play him again, then use his ability again, and so on forever until we run out of resource cards.
Effectively, as long as Redwing is in play at the start of our turn, we can turn a hand of 5 resource cards into 4+ repeat plays of Redwing. And we can guarantee getting Redwing on Turn 1 thanks to our alter-ego ability, Birds Of A Feather (discarding a card to find a bird card).
In short, we basically have an infinite-use resource sink for the entire game, from the start of the game, that triggers our hero ability every time. And by having this guaranteed infinite resource sink, we can go resource-crazy and turbo-charge Falcon. Mass Redwing recursion here is actually just a backup plan if we draw too many resource cards - but it's quite glorious.
And that's the deck.
...
...Wait, you want more? Fine. BUT MAKE SURE YOU GRAB REDWING ON THE FIRST TURN. Trust me. You will draw into a million resource cards 1-2 times per deck pass. The bird fixes everything.
(Redwing does more with his ability based on the average boost icons in the scenario, so tends to do better against harder scenarios, but thanks to simply playing him triggering our hero ability and the tools below, we can usually set up a few good encounter cards for him to discard if we do end up needing to play him repeatedly!)
So in other news, Freddie Mercury famously sung the question: who wants to live forever? And the answer is obviously bestest doggo Cosmo. Since you can see the top of the encounter deck, Cosmo has a 100% hit rate. No consequential damage for him ever. Use him to fish for the correct boost icons you need. Who's a good boy?
Of course, we don't need to be in 'Pool to do any of this so far, although the triple resources like Self Confidence help him play his many amazing cards. But what is 'Pool to a Falcon? Well, it's more like a bird bath. And it also has War.
Thanks to our eagle eyes, we can always see the top card of the encounter deck for War. See a zero-boost icon card that you really don't want for Battlefield Awareness or Redwing? With War you can turn it to your advantage!
And again I ask you, have you heard the word? --That's right. Redwing is BACK and our favorite bird boy is bringing us a beautiful bonus. By using his ability to return him to our hand, Rock, Paper, Scissors always has a wild resource for almost guaranteed card draw on the cheap.
And, y'know, bringing the bird back fulfills half of the aerial cards Cannonball needs to make like Cosmo and live forever. Too many allies on the board/in hand now? C'mon just spend the ones in hand on playing Redwing again or something.
And that's the deck.
...
...Wait. You want ANOTHER reason for us to run 'Pool?!
"Ooh nooo, Dreadpool, he's sooo scary :("
Well buckle in because thanks to a tip from HeroicSkeleton (check out their decks!) we can make 'Pool's psuedo-nemesis set disappear.
Enter Aerial Recon. A most excellent card which lets us deal a player an encounter card in exchange for blocking one later.
Step 1: We deal someone an encounter card with Aerial Recon's Hero Action (probably ourselves so our buddies at the table don't make sad faces at us)
Step 2: Someone defeats Dreadpool in any manner they like.
Step 3: Dreadpool's "When Defeated" ability tries to resolve. 'Deal Dreadpool to the player who defeated him as a facedown encounter card.'
Step 4: We trigger Aerial Recon's Interrupt (this part still works, even if it's exhausted) to block Dreadpool being dealt to the player by his When Defeated ability. It works because he's dealing himself as an encounter card, and that's just what Aerial Recon blocks.
And just like that, with a little Falcon Magic the "Crisis of Infinite Deadpools" is turned into the "Mild Nuisance of One Deadpool". Pretty cool.
And that IS the deck.
This deck began on my quest to make it easier to play more of Falcon's amazing cards because I just kept on getting stuck with hands where I wanted to play every single card. And this deck says "go ahead, play everything with all this money - and take this bird with you!" And it worked great. I hope you like it as much as I have!

Jun 23, 2025This looks like a blast! |
Jun 23, 2025War is amazing in here! With so many resource cards in the dexk, you might end up not dealing any damage to the villain, but it is a great way to rotate the top card of the encounter deck! Great job!! |
Jun 23, 2025Don't have the new packs yet, but a redwing spam deck in pool sounds like a great hook! Think this might be the first thing I try after the precon |
Jun 23, 2025Thought I'd just get ahead of it and comment here on why I didn't include Stick-To-Itiveness. I was on the fence about it - ultimately Falcon already has a lot to setup, it's a poor target for all our double and triple resources, and our physical resource cards are all desirable to play. I could have brought Quincarrier in to pay for it but plain resource generation/cost reduction isn't a big priority with so many resource cards, so I opted for Helicarrier since I mostly play at 2-player these days. If we have enough money for our stuff, we can give Helicarrier to someone else. The deck does include Team-Building Exercise but that's cheaper and can be used to do weird stuff on another player's turn such as replay Redwing. Falcon definitely likes readying to use his boosted DEF and later use Battlefield Awareness on an ATK or THW, or perhaps Soup Kitchen. But for my money, Healing Factor and preparing a weak boost card really reduces the need for healing or defending, leaving us pretty free to basic ATK/THW with Battlefield Awareness. He also has 2 readying type cards in Talon Line and Draw Their Fire, plus Aerial Evacuation also reduces the need to exhaust to defend. ...But you could very easily swap Quincarrier + Stick-To-Itiveness in and it would do great! And given that he's only been out for a few days, it's safe to say my opinion is going to be changing a lot over the next few weeks of playing him. |
Jun 23, 2025i went in a different direction with my first deck, but i was definitely considering some aerial tribal for him with Cannonball. going into 'Pool for 3 extra doubles is quite inspired though, especially since he heals so much with Soup Kitchen (and also helps you pay for Redwing) |
Jun 23, 2025I love this pool idea. I was thinking that falcon could work really well in pool. He's able to have more control over what encounter cards come out, so he could maybe stack the scenario in such a way to get one of each symbol for things like pool cleaning. Cool deck VT! |
Jun 23, 2025Now you are going to make me use the 'Pool aspect. Love the Redwing love. |
Jun 23, 2025Thanks everyone! I know 'Pool isn't everyone's favorite aspect, but it has some fun stuff and can really make the right deck pop.

Jun 24, 2025This looks super fun! I'm always glad when someone finds a good use for the 'pool aspect. I have still been fiddling around with Winter Soldier but plan on getting to Falcon soon. This just might be the first deck I try! |
Jun 24, 2025I hope it is as fun as it is smart. Nice concept! |
Jun 25, 2025I just finished playtesting my Leadership Falcon deck, so I know this must work fabulously! Any time I had multiple resource cards in hand, I knew I'd be able to get multiple uses from Redwing, once doing it 4 times, so clearly your deck will give Redwing's ability a ton of consistency! Clever idea to build around!! |
This looks super fun! I love all of the little interactions, and the focus of recurring Redwing over and over. Even bringing Redwing to hand for another Aerial card to make Cannonball take less consequential is pretty sweet!
I'm not big on 'Pool, but I'll make an exception for this one. And if it bugs me too much, I'll swap to another aspect and try to get it to work there!
