NOTE: Decks I build are focused on theme and fun. While I aim for strong performance, I prioritise storytelling, synergy, and cinematic moments. Most decks are tuned for Standard villain difficulty - not Expert.
Deck Name:
Ready to Smash
Ideal For:
Players who want to play a She-Hulk in a rush style protection aspect and deliver many satisfying smashes; whilst also being able to flip down to alter-ego every turn to overcome her small hero hand size.
Mode & Playstyle:
Solo
Rush ← Tempo
(Rush-focused with light tempo setup, which allows for bigger smashes!)
Theme:
She-Hulk just wants to get back to work — but every time the villain tries to scheme, she is ready for a fight and gets back into the battle. Smash. Ready. SMASH!
Hook
End each hero phase in alter-ego to draw into a 6-card hand. Use her alter-ego ability of "I Object” She-Hulk to stall the main scheme. When the villain schemes, flip to hero form with Ready for a Fight and smash back using her hero ability of “Do You Even Lift?” She-Hulk. For consistency, use Practiced Plan to return Ready for a Fight to allow She-Hulk to flip down to alter-ego every turn.
Keep swinging by stacking readying effects regularly with One-Two Punch, Leading Blow, Limitless Stamina, What Doesn't Kill Me; also with Indomitable when defending.
Tips
First round: mulligan for Split Personality — lets you flip to hero form but still end the phase in alter-ego. If your starting hand has Ready for a Fight , then it may not be worth the risk of a mulligan as chaining Ready for a Fight every turn is the key to her combos.
If you don't find Split Personality or Ready for a Fight early, stay in alter-ego - if you can - to build up supports, upgrades, or allies. Changing to hero form early with the limited 4 hero hand size can slow the combo builds.
Use the Stun status effect to strategically prevent discarding Superhuman Strength when attacking - as per rules update since v 1.5
Storytime
Jennifer Walters was halfway through court when Venom rampages through the city. She changes into hero form with Ready for a Fight. In the flip to hero form she triggers her “Do you even lift?!” She-Hulk landing a crushing blow that bypasses his ability of Vengeance Venom.
She defends his attacks boosted by Armored Vest and attacks back with Counter-Punch. She then readies with Indomitable. The battle continues and every time she wants to go back to work, she is brought back to the fight with Ready for a Fight .
She absorbs hits, readies and pushes through with Focused Rage; staying alive with her basic recovery, Crew Quarters and occasionally What Doesn't Kill Me. Then in the final moments, with low HP left and her built up rage, she brutally ends Venom with her superpower move Gamma Slam !!! ... Now back to work.
