Hey this is a deck built for Winning Hand's card of the day, which is Great Responsibility. I'm also not alone thinking of Spider-Woman, here's DanTheCrow's take, which I was pleasantly surprised takes an entirely different approach! The idea for my deck is to play Great Responsibility to prevent threat, but then to use damage mitigation cards such as Jump Flip and Side Step. Added bonus is using Defiance and Side Step or Jump Flip can usually proc perfect defense, or use those cards on a minion will surely get you there.
We have economy with Unflappable, One Way or Another, Nerves of Steel, and Wolfsbane can also be an econ piece, given your deck is predominantly events.
Yaw and Roll is more for fun than good, can easily be swapped for For Justice! or another card.
Edit: Just realized this is much better with Swift Retribution!

Jun 18, 2025This prompt has been so revealing to me. There are so many cards that trigger just based on damage taken that I’ve only ever treated as “when taking damage from an attack”. This is a great way to use it, especially with Swift Retribution. With this many events and so few allies did you consider using Atlas Bear for the extra card draw since they let you add events to your hand? |
