Cindy's Silk-Sense Surveillance Skills

Silk relies on her Alter-Ego side far more frequently than most heroes, keeping her enemies Under Surveillance and adding two cards to her hand before donning her Silk persona to find One Way or Another to add even more cards to her hand as a Skilled Investigator.

VILLAINS TESTED AGAINST to refine the deck (in both standard and expert): Klaw; Unus; Apocalypse; and Magneto.

Deck Refinements:

  • Removed:
  • Added:
    • Spider-Man (I initially left Otto Octavius out of the deck because none of the upgrades are tech upgrades; however, I had underestimated how valuable it would be to ready Organic Webbing, Spider Claws, or Ingenuity even without the card draw due to Silk's readying from Peter Parker Spider-Man and Organic Webbing.

Results: Undefeated, with spikes of final turn damage of 28, 30 and 32 points (the latter against expert Magneto). The most difficult challenge was Apocalypse, due to dealing with the many Prelates, but Silk proved especially effective against them with her combination of piercing from Spider Claws and readying from Peter Parker Spider-Man's ability, as well from Organic Webbing.

NOTABLE ELEMENTS OF PLAY:

Conclusion: Silk's most difficult time can be in the early game before she has begun to set up her kit; however, this deck quickly begins setting up that kit due to the numerous opportunities for card draw, while also gaining control of the board state.

Once she has Organic Webbing, J. Jonah Jameson, Web of Life and Destiny, and Under Surveillance in play, it's just a matter of time before the other elements fall into place to allow her to dominate the villain. As Albert Moon, Ingenuity, Skilled Investigator, Spider Claws, Eidetic Memory also come into play, she sets up her final attack to wipe out the villain.

She doesn't need everything in play. Each item just naturally builds towards that final attack, eventually presenting itself in the form of her Swinging Silk Kicks in tandem with her piercing Spider Claws.
