X-23 protection decks are usually pretty good. X-23 training/sidekick decks are also pretty good. Why not both?

The priority here is to get Honey Badger trained (and hopefully equipped with a sidearm too) so that you can play Game Time. Every use of it is a free ready for X-23, plus a little extra from Honey Badger herself.

Iceman is a second target for protective training and sidearm if you aren't drawing Honey Badger. What Doesn't Kill Me can be great for more readies when Honey Badger isn't set up. Specialized Training provides some versatility. I generally like to take extra Hit Points, especially since the card draw almost always triggers, but extra defense can be helpful against villains with large attack stats. Most of the other cards here either help emphasize big turns (like IPAC) or help with sustaining yourself and Honey Badger (like Render Medical Aid) so that I rarely have to go back to Alter-Ego, and there are many games that I never flip off of Hero.

When everything is set up and you get a good draw, it isn't unreasonable to have a turn with 5 uses of X-23, 3 uses of Honey Badger, 19 total health, and 4 cards left in hand to be used.
