X-Men First Class

Time to go Old School. Real old.

I've been quite excited to finally be able to get the Original 5 X-men, the originators of X-Factor, the silver age OGs on the table. Sure, you could do it in Cyclops, but that's boring, Cyclops can already do all the X stuff. Plus, the cyclops of Champions is a veteran. The field Commander.

This is your chance to have the First Class as I feel they should be. (No, not the lineup form the mediocre Fox movie).

THIS DECK IS SIMPLE. IT HAS 1 GOAL:

GET THE ORIGINAL 5 ALL IN THE GAME AT THE SAME TIME.*

*IDEALLY FOR THE WIN. **BONUS POINTS IF YOU GET THE PROFESSOR THERE LEADING HIS STUDENTS INTO BATTLE

To that end, you have the pieces needed to ensure that happens.

The Plan:

1) Utopia Ok, sure it's good with Iceman, he likes readies. He can get his triggers off, draw cards, frostbite the enemies and such. Good. But, the key piece here: It give you an extra ally slot.

2) The Triskelion This helps you to not only get the whole class on the field trip, but the Professor can come along too not just as a mental projection. Hey. They need a chaperone!

3) Uncanny X-Men The OG title for the OG team. This bad boy lets you get those X kids into play at 1960's cover prices! Rewind 70 years of inflation.

4)Cerebro When back at Greymalkin lane, Professor X or his ward: The First X-man, Psionic in training, Marvel Girl herself. Jean, find the kids once they've wondered off. Bobby even can give it a go early game, maybe even helping him conjure up some Clones. Slap Honorary X-Men on Bobby, and you can use the Uncanny discount in AE or ready him up for a recovery.

5) Moira MacTaggert Charlie's old girlfriend, geneticist Moira MacTaggart was the person who gave him the idea of making a school for gifted youngsters. Only natural for her to swing on by and check on the kids and give them a (increased) hand.

6) Professor X uses his massive inheritance to fund the founding of his school Team-Building Exercise, The Power of Leadership help fund your field missions. Get there in the state of the art 1960s super Blackbird the The X-Jet.

7) Make the Call Yeah it's old school Leadership tech. But, just like a good landline, it is just as reliable as it always has been.

8) Player Side Schemes. You got a lot of stuff to get into play, these help get you set up. And, you can maybe keep friends happy as you try and gather the whole team to the table.

The Team:

1) Jean helps get more out of the allies. She lifts the team up, she has the smarts, the sass and, the smackdown.

2) Hank lends his brains to execute your plan.

3) Angel.... uhhhh flies around dodging stuff. And, he helps. Good ole suspenders wearin' Warren.

4) Scott. Dude's got the laser focus. Bring him in to dogpile on the enemies and beat them down.

5) Bobby, lovable scamp, Iceman. He can conure some stand in snow clones to keep you company until the whole team comes in, he can do his thing, freezing, frosting, blastin' and chillin'.

It's a fun deck, these allies are good, The deck can keep the threat at bay, set up and do damage.
