This is a basic Protection deck made with only cards in the core set. It's far too much defense to be viable in multiplayer!

Your goal with this deck is to stay in Spider-Man form for as long as possible, taking advantage of his native 3 defense and a variety of tools to keep tempo. Allies give you some basic damage and thwart capabilities, but you'll be relying on other players to manage the board state while you jump in front of as many villain attacks as possible.

When the villain attacks you, consider taking the damage undefended. This will draw you a card and save your basic defense for when the villain attacks an ally, generating another card draw for you. Backflip can mitigate the damage when the villain draws large boosts. Webbed Up is best saved for turns where you are not the first player - you want the villain to attack you to continue generating cards!

Get Behind Me! and Black Widow are your encounter defense - while you want to save these for nasty surprises like Shadow of the Past there's a risk in holding them too long. Perfect is the enemy of good enough.
