Winter Soldier Aggression — Relentless Firepower

Hello, fellow Aggression players!

Once again, I’m back with an updated version of my favorite and most-played deck in Marvel Champions: Winter Soldier Aggression.

This is a deck I’m particularly proud of because it has achieved a very high win rate for me in both Solo and Multiplayer (3–4 players). I’ve taken this deck through every Scenario and every Campaign on Expert difficulty, including some of the toughest bosses in the game such as Ronan, Loki, Venom Goblin, Magneto, Kingpin, and Electro (The Getaway).

The matchup I found the most challenging was Expert Magneto, but even that fight is far from impossible.

The list I’m presenting here is relatively simple to play, but at the same time, it captures Bucky’s assassin-like playstyle extremely well.

How the Deck Plays

The basic game plan is straightforward: keep progressing through the game while hunting down enemies, setting up Winter Soldier’s weapons, and eventually turning that setup into a barrage of attacks through Firepower.

However, this deck is designed to be highly flexible. It doesn’t rely entirely on Firepower to deal damage. Instead, it has several different ways to attack, including Piercing and Overkill, allowing the deck to adapt to different situations.

I deliberately included a variety of attack events ranging from 1–3 resources, which helps maintain a consistent flow of attacks throughout the game.

One by One is an excellent card for continuously clearing enemies, while Relentless Assault is an efficient way to deal with Minions and can generate great value when Overkill is involved.

Firepower is essentially the deck’s finisher. It provides a huge burst of damage and is particularly useful for spreading damage across multiple enemies in Multiplayer when the board is filled with Minions.

The attack events can also be recycled at the right moment by playing Black Widow, giving you another opportunity to reuse your strongest attacks.

Angela and Spoiling for a Fight work especially well with Man on the Wall, making them excellent tools for developing your board during the early and mid game.

Hall of Heroes, Nick Fury, and Face the Past provide excellent card draw and help accelerate the deck’s setup. They allow you to get your key pieces online quickly while giving you flexibility depending on the situation.

Sunfire is another very useful Ally, particularly for removing troublesome Villain Attachments. This deck contains enough Energy resources to reliably take advantage of Sunfire’s ability.

Captain America becomes an important Ally in the late game. After the deck has gone through its first cycle, he can help Ready Bucky, while his Tough status can absorb one hit. He can also equip S.H.I.E.L.D. Sidearm, giving him an additional way to contribute to the fight.

Finally, Bambino is an excellent weapon for the Firepower strategy because it doesn’t need to Exhaust after using its counter, allowing you to get tremendous value from it while continuing to make use of Firepower.
