This deck was built around Jean Grey, not the Phoenix Force.

Instead of chasing explosive turns or overwhelming damage, the goal is to dominate the battlefield through superior control. Every decision is deliberate. Every move is calculated. Jean wins by making sure the villain never gets to execute their plan.

Design Philosophy

Many Phoenix decks embrace the destructive potential of the Phoenix Force.

This one embraces the woman behind it.

Jean Grey is one of Marvel's greatest telepaths, and this deck reflects that identity. Rather than relying on raw damage, it uses psychic powers to manipulate the battlefield, control enemies, and keep threat completely under control.

The Psychic Engine

The deck is built around Jean's impressive collection of Psionic cards, allowing her to make full use of The Power of the Mind while maintaining a steady flow of control effects throughout the game.

Her basic THW is just as important as her events. Improving Jean herself was always a priority over simply adding stronger Justice staples.

Allies Are Not Disposable

One of the biggest mistakes you can make with this deck is exhausting allies too aggressively.

Rather than treating them as temporary resources, they are carefully preserved to maximize Mutant Peacekeepers. Patience is rewarded, often allowing Jean to remove massive amounts of threat in a single activation before cleaning up the remaining schemes with Even the Odds.

Learning when not to use an ally is just as important as knowing when to activate one.

Playstyle

Build Jean, not just the board. Control the villain with psychic abilities. Preserve your allies whenever possible. Wait for the right moment to unleash Mutant Peacekeepers. Keep every scheme under control while your teammates focus on winning the fight.

This deck was designed primarily for multiplayer and campaign play, where Jean Grey serves as the team's battlefield controller, allowing everyone else to play more aggressively.

If you're looking for a Phoenix deck built around destruction, this isn't it.

If you're looking for Jean Grey at the height of her telepathic mastery, you'll feel right at home.

Love the design philosophy, Phoenix Force, like Unleash Nova Force, can become a whole thing. If you're going with non-disposable X-Men allies in Justice, may I recommend trying Husk: marvelcdb.com

I know she's not psionic, but her built-in ability to heal + boosting her stats + Mission Training is worth it, IMO. marvelcdb.com

Noted. When I modify her again, I will try her in the deck. Thank you for the proposition.
