A protection deck with claws!

This hero is not known for passive defense. Leaning in to protection attack events for Wolverine, the accompanying allies will be defending most often.

Use Wolverine's Claws in the hero phase to play Hard Knocks to knock out a minion. The hit points power the attack that then bestows a tough status card for the villain phase. Maybe use What Doesn't Kill Me to heal, ready up, and then thwart; 2 THW is not too shabby to keep the situation under control.

Defensive Conditioning and Endurance are both included to add to the Adamantium Skeleton, raising Wolverine's hit point pool so that popping off Fighting Fit for 5 damage is more consistent.

The Night Nurse helps maintain tempo by mitigating the appearance of stun and confuse. Med Team and First Aid can heal up Wolverine or any of the allies. An ally who defends without taking damage (Armor, Polaris) uses Hangar Bay to ready and defend twice in the same villain phase. Additionally, when they defend they can also remove threat via Ops Room.

Finally, when Wolverine is forced to defend, Indomitable is an efficient way to have a ready available. The 3 copies are not limited to one per player, so have them all out on the table just in case. He can take damage and still pop off basic attacks or thwarts in the hero phase.
