The Vision. Captain Mar-Vell. Yellowjacket. Deathcry. Swordsman. Dr. Druid. All lost their lives in the line of duty...or in disgrace. When Earth's Mightiest Heroes are themselves laid low in the carnage of the CHAOS WAR and the graves give up their dead, these six find themselves mysteriously returned, to RE-ASSEMBLE against the CHAOS KING's most fearsome ally -- one of the Avengers' greatest foes! It's a final chance at redemption, a second life, and most importantly, to prove -- once and for all -- that they are worthy of the name... AVENGERS.

A 2011 limited series tie-in to the Chaos War storyline, the Dead Avengers team features some strong allies now in Marvel Champions. Dr. Druid being the notable exception, Doctor Strange will fill in for him (much as Druid did taking the reigns of the Secret Defenders from Stephen). Also, a swap of Captain Marvel (Carol Danvers in this series still called Ms. Marvel) for Captain Mar-Vell.

The ally boosting supports Mighty Avengers and Team Training are fitting. Avengers Compound, Avengers Mansion, and Avengers Compound work well here. They also provide supports to power up the Organizational Support resource cards. As does Quinjet, which can sit in place to fly in an ally mid-game.

Having been resurrected, Inspiring Presence heals and readies these allies. United We Stand offers additional healing, working on Strange, too. Making Strange an Honorary Avenger keeps Mighty Avengers online even in alter-ego, though the first target is Wong.

On a mission of redemption (possibly revenge) the "Avenge Me!" upgrade is thematic and powerful for more card draw. The targets are Yellow Jacket, who wants to cycle to search for upgrades when entering play, and Swordsman, who likely to defend for the others and be defeated frequently. Rapid Response either of them back in.

Call for Backup, Build Support, and Evaluate Threat are strong player side schemes to tutor the most valuable ally in the moment and/or one of the many supports.

Dead Avengers, RE-ASSEMBLE!
