Draw Their Fire is a very good card. Between Agent Coulson, and 3x Practiced Plan you can activate "Draw their Fire" up to 5 times per deck cycle.
Please let me know if you have any suggestions.

Feb 05, 2026That's a good point, it doesn't make a lot of sense to build a deck around recurring a card that costs 1/person resources to block 2/3 damage from each villain activation. Even considering the additional THW/ATK/REC on your next turn, there are better things that your deck could be doing. However, this doesn't consider your teammates or the villain's strategy's. . If I am playing with a "minionmancer" teammate such as Tigra, or a villain such as Ultron that wants to summon a lot of smaller minions, there is suddenly a lot of value in being able to block every attack in the villain phase. At higher player counts (3/4), I think that that there is a strong case to be made to switch to protection for access to "retaliate", and a higher DEF stat. Finally, having a player dedicated to defense for the whole table can be incredibly valuable playing at higher difficulties where you end up taking a lot more damage, such as with the Standard/Expert II encounter sets, where the villains get more access to "overkill" and "steady/stalwart". It is correct that the scaling cost for Draw Their Fire is discouraging to co-op play. I believe that in order to make this deck fun in a team setting, you have to teammates who can take advantage of what you offer, or fight a villain whose strategy you counteract. I do not think I would have a lot of fun trying to fight Kang (The Conqueror). |
I guess this is not meant for co op? Because of the scaling cost?
