Justice for the Age of Apocalypse

This deck aims to do two things. One create a limited card pool theme deck, every card in this deck is available in the Age of Apocalypse wave of cards. Two, to create a Magneto deck that uses his abilities in service of his aspect, since the most common complaint about him is that he just plays his own cards and the aspect is deck filler.

So the first thing is Magnetic Pull. Magnetic Pull is a free draw and one of the reasons he is so powerful, but it only draws hero cards. That is one of the main reasons he filters towards his hero cards. But what if we re-frame it? Magnetic Pull isn't a card draw, it is resource draw. It ensures he can pay for price cards like Waylay or allies.

Instead of thinking of his as a highly focused hero, Think of him as a high economy hero. Master of Magnetism gives you the best two resources for Husk. Drawing an extra card every turn increases your ability to get full use of Multitalented and Three Steps Ahead.

Instead of trying to get all his upgrades out, just focus in on which one you use most. Do you want Magnetic Bubble to prevent damage? Magneto's Cape for readies. Do just what the scenario requires while using allies and events to crush your enemies and their schemes. Moira MacTaggert combines with Magnetic Pull to give you 8 card hands every second turn. Stepford Cuckoos prevent flipping down and getting Advanced on the same turn.

This deck has it all, it uses your heroes good stats, it uses his hero abilities every turn to good value. And it gets value out of hero cards when needed, (With Master of Magnetism being a vital card worth strategically using Survivor to recur.) But it doesn't rely on hero cards for anything. It relies on Husk to act as a perpetual ally. It relies on White Queen and Shadowcat to counter the villains control attempts. It relies on Gunboat Diplomacy and Multitalented to advance your game from all angles. It relies on Waylay for burst damage.
